Currently, I am working as an Advanced Computer Scientist at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), part of SRI International. My research lies at the intersection of machine learning, scientific visualization and explainable AI. I am interested in developing statistical and AI/ML models, coupled with interactive visualization techniques to design effective analysis and exploration workflows for a wide variety of scientific application domains.
At PARC, I am part of the Complex Systems Analytics team, within the Intelligence Systems Lab. I am involved in several government and commercially funded interdisciplinary data science projects in the area of climate science, healthcare, and sensor analytics. Prior to joining PARC, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Data Science at Scale Group of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). I graduated with a Ph.D. and an M.S. from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of The Ohio State University in 2019. At Ohio State, I was a member of the GRAphics and VIsualization sTudY (GRAVITY) research group led by my advisor, Dr. Han-Wei Shen. I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, West Bengal (India) in 2011.
