Currently, I am working as a Principal Researcher at Fujitsu Research of America (FRA). My research interest lies at the intersection of machine learning, scientific visualization and explainable AI with the goal of making impactful contributions towards solving societal, environmental and economic problems around us. As part of this endeavor I have developed various statistical and AI/ML models, coupled with interactive visualization techniques to design effective analysis and exploration workflows for different scientific application domains ranging from climate change to healthcare.

At FRA, I am part of the Converging Technologies (CT) Lab which specializes in combining research in multiple core technical fields to add value in an increasingly diverse society and solve a wide-range of societal and human-centeric issues facing the world. Prior to this I was working as an Advanced Computer Scientist at the renowned Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), part of SRI International. At PARC-SRI, I was involved in several government and commercially funded interdisciplinary data science projects in the area of climate science, healthcare, and sensor analytics. Prior to joining PARC, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Data Science at Scale Group of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). I graduated with a Ph.D. and an M.S. from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of The Ohio State University in 2019. At Ohio State, I was a member of the GRAphics and VIsualization sTudY (GRAVITY) research group led by my advisor, Dr. Han-Wei Shen. I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, West Bengal (India) in 2011.
